Day 1  ARRIVE BISHKEK – CHON KEMIN VALLEY

Burana tower, KyrgyzstanArrive at  at the International Airport Manas in the morning.
Meet your guide and depart for Chon Kemin Valley via the Burana Tower (220 km, 4 hrs). First transfer to Tokmok town (80 km, 1.5-2 hrs drive) to visit Burana Tower (UNESCO), a large minaret in the Chui Valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. We will also see exponents of Balbals or ancestral Turkic tombstones.
Lunch at a local family in Tokmok town.

Optional: Traditional horseback riding games near Burana Tower (by request)

Optional: Baking of the typical bread “Boorsok (30-60 min) (by request)

Proceed to the Chon Kemin valley. Accommodation and rest. Walk around the town or visit the site with the panoramic view.

Day 2  CHON KEMIN VALLEY – SKAZKA CANON – TAMGA

Chon Kemin valley, KyrgyzstanAfter breakfast, drive to Tamga (220 km, 4 hrs drive).
First we visit “Skazka” canyon (“Fairy-tale”) consisting of petrified clay of multiple colors that offers a very interesting view with the lake in the background. Enjoy short walks, up to 5 km both ways, +150 m -150 m.
Arrival in Tamga village and accommodation on the southern shore of Issyk Kul lake in Yurt Camp. Dinner.

Note: There are 12 yurts in the camp. Accommodation in yurts (2-4 pax per yurt), individual toilet & shower facilities per yurt.
 
Day 3  TAMGA – DJETY OGUZ CANON – KARAKOL – KARKARA VALLEY

Jety Oguz gorge, KyrgyzstanAfter breakfast we head towards Karkara Valley (200 km, 4-5 hrs drive).
Transfer to the Djety Oguz canyon (2200m asl) known as the Seven Bulls canyon. Places of interest: the broken heart rock, panoramic view of the “7 bulls”.
Driving to Karakol. City tour: Russian Orthodox Church, Dungan Mosque.
Arrive in Karkara Valley. Accommodation in yurts (2-3 pax per yurt) or in tents (2 pax per tent), depending on availability at the time of booking. Dinner and rest.

Note: There are 12 yurts (6 yurts with beds and 6 yurts with matresses). These yurts offer private toilet shower facilities (inside the yurt).
In case of tent accommodation (on cots), toilet/shower facilities on shared basis.
Day 4  VALLE KARKARA – KYZYL TASH – CHOLPON ATA

Optional: Helicopter flight to the Southern Inylchek Base Camp at 4000 m asl, from where you can see the Pobeda peak (7439m asl) and the Khan Tengri peak (7010m asl) (650 USD/pax – to join a group; 5500 USD/whole board – prices are subject to change)

Drive to Issyk Kul lake (200 km, 4 hrs drive). On the way visit the farm in Kyzyl Tash village. Visit of the Shepherd’s Museum. Lunch at the farm.

We continue the road to Cholpon Ata town along the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake.
Accommodation near Cholpon Ata town in a hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5  CHOLPON ATA – SON KUL LAKE

After breakfast drive to Son Kul lake (3016m asl) along the northern shore of Issyk Kul lake (300 km, 6 hrs drive). Along the way, an excursion to the so-called “Stone Garden” or Petroglyphic Site of Cholpon Ata, an open-air temple left by the Scythians and Huns dating from the 9th century BC to the 4th century AD.
The road passes through Kochkor village.

Folklore show during felt master class (120 USD/group)

Arrive in Son Kul, accommodation at the yurt camp. Dinner.

Day 6  SON KUL LAKE – KOCHKOR

This day is dedicated to get familiar with the nomadic life: easy hiking, visiting Kyrgyz yurts. Here the Kyrgyz people still lead the nomadic way of life.
Lunch at the yurt camp.

Optional: Horseback riding around the lake (15 USD/pax/1 hour + 30 USD/instructor/group)

Transfer to Kochkor village (150 km, 3 hrs drive). Arrival and accommodation at local house. Dinner.

Note: Accommodation in Kochkor per Rooming list. Basic facilities: shared toilet/shoower facilities
Please, bear in mind that according to local tradition it is necessary to take your shoes off when you enter the house.

Day 7  KOCHKOR – BISHKEK

After breakfast transfer to Bishkek city (200 km, 3 hrs drive).
Arrival in Bishkek. City tour: Ala Too Central Square, the White House, the Parliament House, the Lenin Statue, the Robles Park, the Opera and Ballet Theater, the Victory Square, the Central Mosque, the Osh bazaar (closed on Mondays) or visit of the department store - ZUM.

Accommodation at hotel. Free time.

Optional: Folklore musical show during the dinner in Bishkek city (120 USD/20 min/group; 180 USD/30 min/group)
Day 8  BISHKEK

In the morning, transfer to the international airport "Manas" to take your flight back.
